Friday Night Lights: The show just gets better

So I’ve been watching Friday Night Lights on NBC since the beginning and to be honest - it was okay at first. But now it’s getting really good!

With the new QB “Voodoo” coming in and the problems he’s putting on the “real team” - the episodes become more dramatic and makes you (the viewer) feel that you’re a parent, brother, sister, etc. of the actual player(s) of the team. I can’t say much about the Season so far besides: WATCH IT NEXT WEEK!

It’s definately “Must see TV”! :)

CBS Cancels SMITH?

Wow, I guess I’m a little late on this but I couldn’t figure out why CBS wasn’t airing SMITH over the past few weeks. What a ripoff… Everytime CBS gets a new show that’s NOT Comedy that’s NOT CSI - they cancel it.

Falcone anybody?

30 Rock and 20 Good Years

Well, I’ve been waiting for 30 Rock for months now because I think Tina Fey is was hilarious on Saturday Night Live. So tonight I got to watch the first episode of the season and … to be honest I wasn’t that impressed. I guess it’s just one episode but it was slightly boring, to be honest.

I can’t really say much about this episode without sounding negative so I’ll move on…

Jericho … A New Show That Looks To Be Good!

So far, so good. I’ve been watching Jericho for the last 3 weeks and I’m loving the storyline, so far.

Actually, right from the start the show had my eyes glued as Skeet Ulrich (sp?) hopped in a 69 Road Runner and headed down the Highway.

Gotta love Road Runners! Mopar Baby!

Anyways, the story has you thinking WTF IS GOING ON? Much like LOST was in the first season… well, still is. But it’s got me thinking and I hate thinking too much. Is it a Nuclear Attack? What the hell is going on?

I know they’ll have to stretch the crap out of “what the hell it is” but wow it’s a great show so far.

Donald Trump on David Letterman

So I was reading the $15KChallenge Blog and found a link about Donald Trump on the David Letterman show responding to a question about “if you lost it all and had to start over again, what would you do?”. Mr. Trump answered with something like: “I would find a great Network Marketing Company and get to work. Now the crowd didn’t like this comment and apparently started booing, etc. Trump apparently made a comment: “That’s why I’m here and you’re there” while pointing at the crowd…

Steve Irwin aka “Crocodile Hunter” dies

According to the news, Steve Irwin who is better known as “The Crocodile Hunter” has died from a Stingray wound. Apparently Mr. Irwin was filming off The Great Barrier Reef, shooting a segment of the series “Oceans Deadliest” when he swam too close to a Stingray. Sources say he was swimming on top of the Stingray which carries a poisonous barb. The Stingray moved upwards and stuck it’s barb into Irwin’s chest and poked a hole in his heart.

“He came on top of the stingray and the stingray’s barb went up and into his chest and put a hole into his heart,” said Stainton, who was on board Irwin’s boat at the time.

Crew members aboard the boat, Croc One, called emergency services in the nearest city, Cairns, and administered CPR as they rushed the boat to nearby Low Isle to meet a rescue helicopter. Medical staff pronounced Irwin dead when they arrived a short time later, Stainton said.

AWOL Soldiers turning themselves in.

I find the stories interesting… especially the responses the stories get regarding “support” for the Soldiers. My view would be very 1-sided as I am not at all for the war and was against it months before was even spoken about within the media. The responses on some of the stories are always great… people saying things like “un-american”, yada yada. I bet..no I KNOW for a fact NONE of these people who speak about the war and being un-american in these ways would EVER go to war. I know alot of people who support Bush and talk about being “un-american” yet they couldn’t tell you ANYTHING about the war, besides the fact that it’s taking place in Iraq.

<!--adsense-->

You can read a story on AOL regarding the latest soldier who turned himself in after going AWOL. I support this guy and any other guy who goes awol to keep out of this war. I won’t even express my true feelings about this war besides the fact that I CANNOT WAIT until next election! I just gotta sit and wait… and to all of you “true americans” — keep your comments to yourselves and go to Iraq with your overalls and 30/30’s.

Apollo 11 Followed by a UFO?

I found an interesting article on coasttocoast.fm right now. I figured I’d post it for the few readers of my blog. :)

http://www.coasttocoast.fm/article/apollo-11-followed-by-ufo.html

Apollo 11 astronaut Buzz Aldrin will be appearing tonight on the Coast to Coast AM program. As such I felt a need to write an article about him and the content of tonight’s program with Richard C. Hoagland and Buzz Aldrin.

According to a new documentary, Buzz Aldrin admits that a unidentified flying object followed the first manned mission to the Lunar surface in 1969. “There was definitely something out there, close enough for us to observe,” Aldrin said in the new documentary entitled “Apollo 11: The Untold Story” the documentary was broadcasted on July 25, of this year, by Britain’s Channel Five.

“Now, it was quite obvious the three of us weren’t going to blurt out, “Hey, Houston, we’ve got something moving alongside of us, and we don’t know what it is” you know? We were not about to do that, because we knew those transmissions would be heard by all sorts of people, and somebody might have demanded that we turn back, because of aliens or whatever the reason may have been… they would have thought of something to make us return.”

Buzz Aldrin goes so far to state that NASA has indeed covered up the UFO encounter. The Apollo 11 mission of July 1969 remains the golden highlight of manned space exploration, 37 years after it first occurred.

Editors note: That is a sad statement to make, but it is true. Since Apollo 11, we have not achieved anything near as exciting as landing on the Moon – that was our golden moment. Nothing has happened in 37 years to even compare to what we did in 1967. Some may claim the moon landing was faked, and it may well have been – after all, why else have we never returned? We landed on the moon in what could be described as nothing more then a high-tech washing machine (by today’s standards) yet, we can’t even accomplish such a goal with today’s technologies at our disposal. Makes one wonder, doesn’t it?

Earlier in the Month of July, 2006 - it was publicly revealed that 698 out of approximately 700 boxes of Apollo 11 videotapes were missing. These 700 boxes held high quality recordings of the landing, all but two of these Boxes, out of the 700 Box set mysteriously vanished from the United States National Archives – and no one knows exactly when they went missing.

The super high definition “slow scan” mission footage was recorded to a special 1 inch magnetic tape. The only machines able to play these tapes are at Goddard Space Flight Center’s Data Evaluation Lab, which is closing its doors and being dismantled by the U.S. Government in October. This is not to say that someone with enough knowledge couldn’t build a machine capable of playing these tapes.

Astronauts of Apollo 11 have been pleading with NASA to locate the tapes & digitally transfer them so historians and scientists could study the high definition footage. What the world saw on Television was a heavily compressed and degraded version of the real video. The television version hides a lot of detail.

Buzz Aldrin’s UFO revelation is the latest in what appears to be a never ending stream of information which points finger after finger at NASA for covering up the truth on these unidentified craft for decades.

Aldrin is certain not the first to admit UFOs have been following or shall I say “Haunting” both American and Russian space missions. In fact Mercury and Gemini Astronaut Col. Gordon Cooper had his first experience with a UFO while he was an air force pilot, flying over West Germany in the 1950’s. He later clamed a UFO actually landed at Edwards air force base in the Mojave desert.

“I believe that these extraterrestrial vehicles and their crews are visiting this planet from other planets, which obviously are a little more technically advanced than we are here on Earth,” Cooper testified before the United Nations in 1985, according to CNN.

“For many years I have lived with a secret, in a secrecy imposed on all specialists and astronauts. I can now reveal that every day, in the USA, our radar instruments capture objects of form and composition unknown to us.”

Astronaut Edgar Mitchell — the MIT scientist, Navy captain and NASA’s sixth man to walk on the Moon — is also a firm believer in UFOs. Dozens of retired defense contractors, Air Force and Navy pilots, FAA officials and even NASA administrators came forward in the summer of 2001 to tell their incredible UFO stories to the Washington press corps and demand Congressional hearings.

But the attacks on New York and Washington on September 11 buried the “Disclosure Project” in the memory hole of the “pre-9/11 world.”

Also of note is (As some, if not most of us are aware) there is a British hacker who is currently facing expedition to the United States for hacking into the governments computer systems. He is facing life imprisonment if he is convicted on all charges. He claims to have found evidence in the form of Photographs from NASA’s current missions and said they are being “fixed” to fully remove any unidentified flying object, before the images were released to the public.

Are you ready for some football?

Oh noooooo… NFL and NCAA Football is back again!

The Hall of Fame game is tomorrow, although I’m not a fan of either team…I’ll still be watching! Ever since Bonds has made Baseball look like a Circus with his Steroid abuse - I’ve been keeping away from that sport, so I’m definately waiting for the 2006 NFL season!

Kansas City Chiefs and Dallas Cowboys (yeah, I’m a fan now…since they’ve been struggling. Plus Roy Williams is a Sooner!) should both make the Playoffs with ease this year. It’d be crazy to see them in the Super Bowl but who knows…knowing how the NFL goes — someone boring and crappy will win the whole shibang (sp?).

Oh yeah… The Oklahoma Sooners! W00T!!!

World War 3?

I keep hearing about “World War 3″ now with all that’s occurring in the Middle East. It’s funny though how local newscasts talk about how people “suffer at the pump” while the people in these countries (Isreal, Lebanon, etc) are dying… suffering fatalities.

American news is just 98% dramatic for the locals… I just can’t believe while others are dying - they’re talking about “paying at the pump”.

Some people…

Beavis and Butthead

Lately I’ve been watching alot of reruns of Beavis and Butthead on MTV. I kind of miss that show… I always thought it was funny at first and annoying after about 10 minutes but it seems to be a little better watching it now… maybe it’s just the memories or something? I’ve watched like 20 episodes in the last few weeks lol

I still find it funny that King of The Hill came out of that show… I remember when that character was always on the show but I guess some people forgot about that because they seem amazed when they see him. Mike Judge is a funny guy… King of the Hill is MUCH better than Beavis and Butthead though!
