Save the Prairie Dogs!

I got this email earlier and figured I would post it on my blog. I love prairie dogs and almost got one as a pet last summer… but will probably still get one soon. Anyways, check this out:

The U.S. Forest Service wants to poison and kill thousands of prairie dogs in our National Grasslands. I just sent a message urging officials to withdraw the proposal, and I hope you will, too. Taking action is easy. Just visit the website below: http://action.defenders.org/prairiedogs Prairie dogs play an essential role to the entire grassland community. They provide homes for burrowing owls, rabbits, snakes and other ground-dwelling critters. And they are also an important food source for many predators. Poisoning prairie dogs can only harm the balance of life on our National Grasslands. Help stop this harmful proposal: http://action.defenders.org/prairiedogs Thanks for all your help…

So please help out to protect these little critters from getting Slaughtered! They’re not just Murdering tens of thousands of Prairie Dogs - they’re killings HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS if not MILLIONS of creatures with this Mass Slaughter!

PLEASE, take a second to read this.

As a Wolf Lover and an Owner of a Wolf Dog, I can’t leave this out of my blog. Please take 20 seconds to fill this out and email it (with a push of a button) and help save the inhumane slaughter of so any innocent Wolves. [[CLICK HERE TO SEND YOUR MESSAGE!]]

I can hear it now “innocent?”. Yes, innocent. They’re creatures like me and you. They are not killers to kill or murderers that murder to do it…they hunt for food. They are some of the smartest animals on this planet but of course they cannot protect themselves from Bullets, Traps, etc. - much like we cannot do the same. If you took the time to learn about Wolves - you would see how beautiful these animals are. There are so many myths about Wolves - good and bad that need to go un-noticed and researched for yourself………
