Here’s a recap from the 2006 AMA’s for those that might have missed it.
Jimmy Kimmel started the show off great with some hilarious jokes about Snoop, etc… that was funny until he hit “K-FED” HHAAAARRDDD haha… wow, they tore up Kevin Federline (sp?) pretty bad and when they were done guess who walked out?
I’m constantly getting questions about my Music and wondering when I’m going to create a new C.D. but the fact is - I don’t have much time to do any recording anymore. I used to love recording after work or even before work a few years ago and could write and record an entire album in a matter of weeks…
Yeah, back then I loved writing and it came so naturally that people never believed how quickly I wrote songs. They thought I had someone else write some of my songs or even worse - covered songs. I’ve always had non-believers until I proved them wrong. They couldn’t believe I could write quality lyrics so quickly and easily. I’ve had people offer me money to write songs but - for some reason - I didn’t even like the term “ghost writer”. I wanted to get credit for every word of every line of every verse of every song I wrote. It was more than a passion at the time — it was my life.
So I’ve been ripping my hair out over the past few weeks working on all my sites. My main site has been a problem since having to move back to the other server but DAMN it’s finally getting fun again!
We’ve got the NEW artist accounts coming where Artists can create albums (even enter the SKU!), upload songs to those Albums and SELL each song at a price they choose. After they recieve $25.00+ in their account - they get a check in the mail within a week! We’ll even be promoting bands in the new Music section which will be completely rebuilt.
Ahhhhhhhhhh I can’t wait! I’m sure Artists will love the end result!
So next I will have to figure out “what’s next”. I know what I want to do but will I get the time to do it? Let’s hope so!
I have a new project on the horizon too… so hopefully things go well with WUB!
I’m a HUGE Music fan. I listen to Music like it’s nobodies Business. But lately, I’ve noticed I hardly listen to Music AT ALL. The only times I really listen to music is when I’m driving, which is not much as of late.
I haven’t even purchased a C.D. in atleast 4 months. Wait… make that 8 months. The last C.D. I bought was Fort Minor, which was a GREAT C.D. by the way!!
Yesterday I opened up the old C.D. case and popped in The Killers “Hot Fuss” and haven’t stopped listening to it since. “Smile like you mean it”, “Mr. Brightside” and the track that put them on the map: “Somebody told me”, ALL great songs. I used to hate these guys because to me - they were just some knock-off version of The Strokes… but I’ve gotten used to them and definately dig their stuff. Speaking of The Strokes — I think I’ll pop in their new C.D.
