We are … Marshall

A Great looking new movie: “We are…Marshall” based on the 1971 Marshall football team that was pieced together after 75 people (Coaches, Players and fans) died on a Plane Crash in 1970. You can read more on the true story, which the movie is based on, at this link [click here].

The Movie looks great and seems to keep close to the Truth, unlike so many movies that claim to be “based on a True Story” or “Based on True Events”.

Harold and Kumar 2: Harold and Kumar go to Amsterdam

While browsing around IMDB.com today, I found out that not only are they making a sequel to Van Wilder - but also Harold and Kumar!

This time they’re (Harold and Kumar) not going to White Castle, they’re going to Amsterdam!

Can’t wait to see this one… John Cho and Kal Penn were hilarious on Harold and Kumar go to White Castle, this should be pretty good too! :)

Van Wilder

Okay so Just Friends was hilarious… Waiting was “okay” but I never got a chance to catch Ryan Reynolds in Van Wilder. I loved Just Friends so I was hoping for something funny!

Bottom line: The movie was GREAT. I didn’t care too much for Tara Reid as she’s not a very good actress (although this was probably her best role I’ve seen) but the rest of the cast was funny. I didn’t realize how many people was on this movie… the Sherminator from American Pie, the Indian guy from Harold and Kumar, etc, etc. the cast was put together pretty good.

I wouldn’t compare it to Just Friends as they’re two different types of movies but they were both equally funny, in their own right.

I definately recommend this movie to anyone looking for a good laugh… but must warn you — there’s a bunch of raunchy, disgusting parts in this movie, which makes it pretty funny. :)

Oh yeah, while searching through IMDB.com - I found out that there’s a part 2 to Van Wilder called “Rise of the Taj”

The Benchwarmers

I watched this movie last night. I didn’t know what it would be like to be honest. David Spade, Rob Schneider and John Heder were all funny in their own “solo” movies but what would it be like as a “trio”?

The Benchwarmers started out kind of corny and slow in the first 10 minutes but slowly got a little better. The funny parts with John Heder were pretty much all shown in the Commercials and Trailers. I think they pushed his Napolean Dynamite act too much, too hard in this flick. I think the guy’s hilarious but he played the “Napolean Dynamite” character a little too hard in this one and it pretty much made his part look goofy at first. Actually, “corny” and “predictable” would be the correct term. As the movie went on - John Heders character started getting less and less predicatable and later became alot funnier.

I can’t even explain the David Spade character. His style is not really too diverse, much like any comedian but this one was still familiar… I want to say Joe Dirt but it’s definately not that character. He was definately funny in this movie though!

Rob Schneider was way different than his usual characters… you know– the Deuce Biggalo and Hot Chick characters? In this movie he plays a jock and the “cool guy” rather than some goofy guy. His character was the main character so it was definately the most entertaining, especially towards the end.

There were alot of special guests in this movie too. It’s definately worth watching when you get the chance. It wasn’t as entertaining as I was hoping… but it definately was worth watching!

Man… I thought this movie was just a comedy!

After watching this movie… I have to say: This just might be the single greatest ending in the world! you HAVE to see this movie!!! It will REALLY make you think twice about remotes and the future of us all. ;-)

Seriously though… the movie was full of comedy at first and then it slowly winds down into this psycho-dramatic, dreadful ending that we all fear yet never really think about. The point of the movie was great. I don’t think you can get any better than this movie here when it comes down to it. The guy goes from a happy go lucky character to seeing the reality of skipping all those hated things in life. You know - the fights and what not with loved ones?

I’d hate to explain anything else about this movie… All I can say is — if you have 2 hours to spare in your life, check this movie out!!! It will make you want to laugh and make you want to cry. It’s an amazing movie.

Just Like Heaven

Category: Movies | 2 Comments

First off: I never watch Love stories. They’re boring and just cannot catch my attention.

Second off: Reese Witherspoon is “freaking hot”.

So I rented Just like Heaven with Reese Witherspoon, Mark Garraffalo (sp?) and John Heder. At first it seemed a little boring. But after about 10 minutes — I was already stuck!

This movie is one of the best movies I’ve ever seen, honestly. There’s not many movies in my life that have made me want to watch them RIGHT AFTER I have already watched them.

The Dragon (Bruce Lee story) and Forrest Gump are probably the only two I can honestly say I can still watch over and over, from the past.

This movie had it all… comedy, drama, love, happiness, etc.

The comedy was just HILARIOUS! I loved how they threw in Comedy in such a serious looking movie.

The Drama was intense. I don’t know how much better it could have gotten!

The Love story was great… I’m not into the love stories but the way they did this was “excellent”.

And in the end… I was SO happy I purchased the movie.

If you have not yet seen this movie — you NEED to see this movie!!!

Date Movie

Category: Movies | Leave a Comment

Okay, so I’ve been wanting to watch “Date Movie” ever since I first seen the commercial with Napolean Dynamite on it. I was excited as hell to see the movie and so was my nephew. I didn’t know how funny it would be… but it looked hilarious.

So, I started watching it and the intro was pretty funny.

Then… the movie started. WOW… This movie had to be the LAMEST attempt at a Comedy I have EVER seen. Everything was on the whole “Naked Gun” or “Hot Shots” scheme but lacked in comedy overall. The whole movie was follow ups to attempted punchlines that were just boring and made me feel like I was going insane.

In the end… it was the first movie I have ever returned within the day I rented it. As a matter of fact - it was returned 1 hour after I rented it.

This movie was PLAIN STUPID. DO NOT ever watch this movie! It will be the worst hour and a half you will ever spend in your life.
