John,

The only way to figure this out is by testing it out yourself. You can't rely on the "opinions" of others to help you make money online. In the end, those are strictly opinions, and not fact.

People told me there was no way I'd make money with Political Polls and Celebrity Polls, and I proved them wrong, big time.

Test everything, assume nothing.

Can you direct me to a post that lists which topics work best? I've heard some say that celebrity polls suck, and others say the same about political polls.

Do you have an opinion about this?

SpeedPPC is a very awesome tool, and I'm not sure how I could ever get anything done without tools like it! :-)

Hey Marc,

That's a little difficult to nail, to be honest. Anyone can get better at it if they're brand new, but the "basics" of it are simply thinking in terms of Basic Demographics.

Who is the audience you're targeting? Young Men? If so, then you want to find offers with Electronics.

Young Women? Generally, I target Gift Cards for more "broad" Polls that are targeted towards females.

I apologize if this doesn't make sense... I'm extremely tired as I type this.

Basically, if nothing is working -- I have a saying: Gift Cards are the Cure-all. Not sure what to hit them with? Try rotating a gift card with another offer and see which one prevails.

The goal is to not be TOO broad to where you can't "complete" the poll, itself.

Hope that helps!

Hey Clint,

Great post, and very helpful. Can you talk a little about your process for offer selection with respect to these polls? I feel I'm doing almost exactly what you're suggesting, getting some sales, but not profitable on any yet, and wondering if the offer selection is the one part of the process I'm not devoting enough thought to.

How do you do it, and what's your process there?

Hey Dave,

Personally, I would take SpeedPPC over Coach's tool any day of the week (as of now) because you have so many more opportunities with it, IMO.

For example, with SpeedPPC, I can save all of my campaigns, in case I need to make a small change later...or a big change. Easy stuff. Simply make the change and update output.

Another feature that's awesome is the fact that you can test out as many headlines or body copy as you want and mix and match in the Advanced ad section.

Another feature is the Domain feature, which allows you to quickly create an entire campaign based on Domain mixes. Fun stuff and very valuable :)

Then there's the Keyword Expansion lists that give you the chance to create tons of more lists (single, dual), easy export in different ways, etc, etc.

Don't get me wrong -- Coach's tool is awesome compared to most... but there's a few things it can't do, which is where SpeedPPC comes in VERY handy.

When you get into other things, you'll see how well this software works, too. :)
