Internet Marketers Are Bullsh!tters

Files under My Life | Posted by Clint Lenard

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again… most Internet Marketers are full of sh!t. Everything that comes out of their mouths should be verified… seriously.

Reed Floren sent out an email today talking about Mike Filsaime (the guy I’ve already blasted over a year ago). In his email he stated the following:

I’m sure you know who Mike Filsaime is. If you don’t,

you’ve obviously been out of town for an extended period

of time.

Mike is the undisputed King of viral marketing and has

been for the past several years. But I believe he just

started his own de-throning!

Interesting!

I guess Microsoft should have hired Mr. Filsaime to help them with Hotmail, the creators of YouTube.com could have done the same. Let’s not mention MySpace, Google, Yahoo, etc…

Heck, maybe Henry Ford could have used Mr. Filsaime to help him introduce people to the automobile.

Ahhh… the world could have used Mike Filsaime in so many ways. Imagine if they could have used his expertise that he used for…wait for it…

Butterfly Marketing!

Yeah. Just imagine.

I like Russell Brunson, but hey – even he is full of sh!t.

I got an email from him today (same day as Reed Floren’s), and the subject line said:

the only marketer i’ve ever hired

Now, we know Subject lines are supposed to reel you in… but, you’re supposed to be ON TARGET with the rest of your story, right?

He explains:

Yes, I paid him $1,000 for a 1 hour phone call.

That one hour call resulted in over $50,000 in revenue within 7
days, and is now responsible for almost $100k a WEEK (yes, a week)
consistently in revenues…

OK, so he’s claiming that recently (today is April 15th, 2008) that he hired this guy for a 1 hour phone call… the “only marketer he’s ever hired”.

Yet, when he launched the 12 Month Millionaire, he claimed to hire Mr. Vince James for the same thing?

Anyone remember that?

Oh well, I just got a little laugh when I read both of those emails today… pretty hilarious and contradicting! Not to mention just plain ridiculous (Reed Floren).

I didn’t hire Vincent James, your post makes it sound like that came from me as well.

As for Mike’s email that’s an email he has in his promo tools for his affiliates to use.

In our niche Mike is the expert he’s made several people successful with viral marketing. The youtubes, hotmails, myspace, facebooks, google are exceptions to the norm most people barely get any traffic to their web site yet alone make a living. I’ve personally witnessed Mike help a lot of people achieve success and he helped me build my first list back in 06 of 3,000+ people in a week.

I see, so Mr. Filsaime is tooting his own horn – labeling himself as the “King of Viral Marketing”? Nice!

Well, as you mentioned that the hotmails, myspace, facebooks and google are exceptions to the norm, so is someone building a list of 3,000+ in a week.

My goal is to help people NOT get caught up in those hyped up products…

Well, I can’t say I apologize for what I stated. You clearly used an email that sounded ridiculous, and I clearly stated that I found it to sound ridiculous. =)

There’s plenty of people getting MUCH more traffic to their sites than Mike Filsaime that are available for hire for much, much less than what he charges for his “info” products…

After I made the time wasting mistake to opt in somewhere (dunno where) I learned to know the wonderful world of Internet Marketing, and since then my inbox is full of urgent emails from Reed Floren, Mike Filsaime, Alex Jeffreys, and their numerous friends. It seems to be that whenever they found someone to pay them for their shit, they include that noob in their guru ranks. Whatever they come up with which makes sense is usually quite common knowledge. But they patch together a story, and then hype each other up. As Reed admits above ” that’s an email he has in his (Mike’s) promo tools for his affiliates to use” that’s the complete system. And then you get it again, another email with this revolutionary Message in teh subject line, and then the urgent urgent offer to get rich now, talking more about their clickbank accounts and about the hype they give each other than about what they are trying to sell you, then the price countdown, to make it looking cheap, and then the reinforcement hype by somebody who might be invented or might be one of their gang, and the urgent urgent before it is gone, last time this ever will be offered blah blah… and if you did not fall for it the follow up emails with free bonus after bonus, usually worthless shit, and excuses for extending teh deadline so you can still get one of the very last slots in their train to the millions.

First I was amused, but now I’m angry, I have pity with all the poor guys which are desperate enough to fall for it, and pay for some public knowledge wrapped in hot air hype.

Clint, thanks so much for speaking out! I was almost ready to start my own blog to vent this: “Reed Floren sucks”, “Alex Jeffreys sucks” “Mike Filsaime sucks” :D
