So I spent 5 hours traveling to get to Hot Springs, Arkansas to hang out with the family for a weekend “get away” - then 5 hours back. I’m exhausted as hell but it was worth every minute of it!!!

For the first time in… forever… I went fishing and didn’t catch anything but DAMN it was fun!

Oddly enough - I usually only fish for MAYBE 2-3 hours, tops, but always catch something. This time I spent like 12 hours total and only ended up with the following:

Lost my Black Fly’s (but it’s OK - I got some more coming!)

Broke the chain to my Wallet… now THIS was funny…

So I’m trying to scoop up these fish that were eating left over food that my newphew threw into the lake… so I bend down with the net and WOOOOPPPPPPPPPPPP… there goes my Glasses. I tried to reach way down and grab them with the net and realized I was stuck on the ground! haha!

So I look down and see that the chain to my wallet is caught between these two boards on the dock. Wow… I couldn’t stop laughing and neither could everyone else… I was so frustrated that I, literally, busted the chain in half and pulled up a huge chunk of the two 2×4’s that it was stuck between. I didn’t even feel embarassed… I was laughing out loud and even made a mockery of myself. I thought it was pretty funny! =)

But… I was a little upset about my Sun Glasses even though I had them for over a year. Plus - I can get them for about 30% of the price now and even got that pair for free from my buddy who works in the Marketing Department. But I already have another pair on the way… just not the same kind.

Being on a boat in the middle of a gigantic lake was nice. I’m trying to plan another trip out there in the next 6 weeks - which will hopefully be on Thanksgiving but I guess we’ll see what happens since my bro’s in law both work as Grocery Managers and my sister is due (she’s pregnant) in 8… or 10 days?

I can’t wait to do it again…

I’m still a little tired from the trip back but I feel relaxed as hell right now and am glad to get new memories!
