I’ve been playing around with Firefox 2 and so far I’m loving it compared to IE7. I know there’s been alot of talk on other Blogs about this issue but seeing for yourself - you start wondering what the hell some people are really talking about?
I can’t remember who it was or what Blog it was but I swear someone claimed IE7 was much better… interesting take. My take is this:
IE7 Blows.
Yes, plain and simple. It’s a cheap knock-off of Firefox in my personal, unbiased, opinion.
I’m just not seeing anything ‘better’ than Firefox that IE7 has? Speed? Hell no! IE7 is Slooooow on my laptop! Unbelievably slow, to be exact.
Looks? Ummm no. I’m just not diggin’ the whole IE6 mixed with a little Firefox + Opera look, at all. Plus Firefox even looks and feels much stronger, cleaner and more professional in version 2. I’m lovin’ the new Tabs! They look CRISP! The [now] Built-in “undo close tab” feature is great. I had the plugin but having it built in is just… great.
Now we can go on about other issues such as Security but I’m not an expert on the subject and I haven’t had it long enough to know any difference. But all we can go by right now is the fact that IE is known for vulnerabilities and VERY slow turn around times for patches/fixes where Firefox has less problems and much, much quicker turn around times for the fixes/patches.
Anyways… Mozilla has another winner on it’s hand. So all the “Once MS releases IE7, Firefox is just a thing of the past” lovers can stop the BS’ing… IE7 is weak and the turn around time for the NEWEST VERSIONS are just more proof that Firefox will BE HERE FOR MUCH LONGER than Micro$oft had expected.
